KAHUNGUINI MISSIONS CENTRE

Mwingi is a drought prone area in the sprawling Kamba land. A semi arid area and sparsely populated this is a hardship area that requires a true missionary to do ministry. CMF has established  Kahunguini Mission's Centre with the aim of spreading the grace of God to its marginalized inhabitants.

Pastor Philip Mutuku traverses this place to reach the people with the love of Jesus. This mission is now two years old and ground braking work is still in progress. Besides preaching to them, we hope to develop social-economic intervention mechanisms that address some of the challenges that inhabitants of this place have to contend with.

The response is so far very encouraging and the people are warming up to the gospel. They are gradually abandoning negative cultural practices that for a long time have hindered any meaningful progress to take place. The truth of the word of God is indeed setting them free. There is hope that what is impossible with man is possible with God.
